SATURDAY BREAKFAST

On the third Saturday of each month, we host a delicious breakfast.

  This consists of:

Pancakes
Scrambled Eggs
Ham
Sausage
Orange Juice
Coffee or Tea

   And it is “All you want” of each!

      All this for only $4.00.  What a deal!

 RUMMAGE SALES

 

 

Twice a year (the first weekend in May and in November) we hold our Rummage Sales.  These are propertied to be the largest Rummage Sales in all of Marion County. And we agree!

Our entire building is transformed into one large Sale on these important days.  Furniture is in our lobby, small appliances in one room, electrical items, toys and tools in another.  The library is filled with books and plants.  Everywhere you look there are items for sale!  Mountains of clothes, shoes and purses to delight one and all. We even serve lunch on those days so you won’t miss a thing.

Here again, great effort goes into the sorting, pricing and displaying of these hundreds of items.  Volunteers number about 40 in this activity alone.  And more help is always needed.

This is one of our big income producing activities. We depend greatly on our annual sales. We have been known to bring in, through this one endeavor alone, nearly $40,000 a year.  That’s a lot of Rummage!

SERVICES FOR OUR MEMBERS….

Toe-nail care….

Held each Friday morning from 8:30 to Noon. A RN will clip your toenails for a nominal fee. Call the office for an appointment.

Blood Pressure will be taken….

each Friday from 10 -12. A RN is in charge of this procedure. No appointment is needed. Come to Library area.

Hearing Aid Clinic….

You can have your hearing aid adjusted or purchase needed batteries. A test can also be taken to access your need for a Hearing aid. Appointments are needed.

Legal Assistance…..

You can meet with an attorney in our office with an appointment. Many of his services are free to our members.

Tax Help…..

Early each year we are all faced with IRS filings. To assist you in this matter, AARP Tax Preparers come to our offices from February through March to tackle this task for you.
